Magistrate Judge Allows More Time To Serve Defendants Despite Lack Of Good Cause

WILMINGTON, Del. - While a man's admission that he failed to take the necessary steps to serve a defendant in his asbestos action falls short of establishing "good cause" for an extension, the defendant will not suffer undue prejudice, a Delaware federal magistrate judge held Jan. 9 (Arthur Dumas v. ABB Group Inc., et al., No. 13-229, D. Del.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 2434).
