Bankruptcy Judge Denies Motion To Appoint Art Committee In Detroit Bankruptcy

DETROIT - The federal bankruptcy judge presiding over the Chapter 9 case of the City of Detroit on Jan. 22 issued a one-page order denying a motion by some of the city's creditors who sought the appointment of a committee to assess the value of the art collection at the Detroit Institute of Arts (In Re: City of Detroit, No. 13-53946, Chapter 9, E.D. Mich. Bkcy.).
