Mealey's IP/Tech - Pennsylvania Magistrate Judge Affirms Refusal To Register Trademark

PITTSBURGH - The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) did not err in refusing to register a suction cup with a concentric two-ring design as a trademark, a Pennsylvania federal magistrate judge ruled March 12 (Adams Manufacturing Corp. v. Teresa Stanek Rea, Acting Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, No. 12-1430, W.D. Pa.).
