DETROIT - Lenders UBS AG and Merrill Lynch Capital Services Inc. on March 21 filed a brief in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan arguing that the Bankruptcy Court should approve their deal with the bankrupt City of Detroit that would settle claims related to what are called swap agreements for $85 million (In Re: City of Detroit, No. 13-53846, Chapter 9, E.D. Mich. Bkcy.).
