Mealey's Banking & Finance - 5th Circuit Upholds Ruling Finding Couple's Challenge To Lien's Validity Untimely

NEW ORLEANS - A couple's lawsuit claiming that a lien on their home was unconstitutional under Texas law and therefore void was barred by the state's four-year limitations period, a Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel ruled March 24 in affirming dismissal of the lawsuit (Ronald J. Moran, et al. v. Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC, et al., No. 12-20242, 5th Cir.; 2014 U.S. App. LEXIS 5421).
