PHILADELPHIA - Avandia maker GlaxoSmithKline LLC (GSK) can file a motion for summary judgment against plaintiffs who claim that they developed congestive heart failure (CHF) after GSK changed Avandia's warning label in 2007, the Pennsylvania federal judge overseeing the multidistrict litigation ruled March 24 in denying a motion to reconsider a similar 2011 denial (In Re: Avandia Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket No. 1871, No. 2:07-md-1871, E.D. Pa.).
