Mealey's Insurance - Judge Permits Plaintiff To Add Bad Faith Claim In Art Theft Coverage Case

SCRANTON, Pa. - Finding that a plaintiff's allegations supporting his proposed bad faith claim pertain to his insurer's claims investigation, which occurred after his original complaint was filed, a Pennsylvania federal judge on April 28 granted leave to file a supplemental complaint to add that claim (Timothy M. Kump v. State Farm Fire & Casualty Co., No. 3:12-cv-00072, M.D. Pa.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 58266).
