BALTIMORE - A federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland on July 16 dismissed a lawsuit against the mayor and City Council of Baltimore, as well as other parties, on grounds that the residents who opposed building a casino on a site contaminated by numerous chemical spills failed to state a claim under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), 42 U.S. Code Section 6901, et seq. (Ruth Sherrill, et al. v. The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, et al., No. 13-2768, D. Md.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 96747).
