NY: NYC Contests District Court Judge's Supervision Over Ground Zero Settlement

NEW YORK, NY - The New York Times reports that lawyers representing New York City and its contractors, who have been sued by rescue and clean up operators at Ground Zero, filed a notice with the United States Court of Appeals on Wednesday, claiming that Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein of the United States District Court could not assert judicial supervision over a settlement reached last month to divide $657.5 million among the workers.
