Intellectual Property Law
Intellectual property is a form of legal entitlement allowing its holder to control the use of certain ideas and expressions. The most common forms of intellectual property include patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets. A patent is the grant of a property right to the inventor issued by the Patent and Trademark Office. A trademark includes any word, name, symbol or device used to identify and distinguish goods from those manufactured or sold by others. A copyright is a document granting exclusive right to publish and sell literary, musical or artistic work.
