3rd Circuit: FOIA's Exemption 7(C) Covers Corporations
PHILADELPHIA - The use of the phrase "personal privacy" in the Freedom of Information Act's Exemption 7(C) encompasses corporations, the Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled Sept. 22, remanding a suit brought by AT&T Inc. against the Federal Communications Commission over the disclosure of documents obtained during an investigation (AT&T Inc. v. Federal Communications Commission, et al., No. 08-4024, 3rd Cir.; 2009 U.S. App. LEXIS 20930). From Mealey's Privacy Report
