Chinese Drywall Manufacturer To Waive Service Rights Under Hague Convention
NEW ORLEANS - One of the major manufacturers of Chinese drywall named as a defendant in the federal Chinese drywall multidistrict litigation agreed Nov. 2 to a one-time waiver of its right to be served with process under international law, the judge overseeing the consolidated cases said in a pretrial order (In re: Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, No. 2:09md02047, E.D. La.).
