Exxon Mobil To Settle MTBE Claims For $17.5M
NEW YORK - Exxon Mobil Corp. said Oct. 27 that it reached a $17.5 million settlement with plaintiffs in 50 actions alleging methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) contamination in their water supplies in the multidistrict litigation court based in New York (In re: Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether Products Liability Litigation, No. 1:00-1898, MDL 1358; Village of Island Lake v.
