SAN JOSE, Calif. - A California federal judge on Oct. 23 denied a motion to intervene in a Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) class action in that state filed by three woman who are plaintiffs in a similar suit in a Texas federal court and granted a motion for preliminary approval of a settlement agreement (Sean Lane, et al. v. LOUIS - A woman whose pictures were released to the media by her plastic surgeons after she underwent surgery to remove excess skin may proceed with her federal invasion of privacy suit against her surgeons and their practice, a Missouri federal magistrate judge ruled Oct. 30 (Jane Doe v.
