Appeals Court: Evidence Supports Finding Man's Illness Was Caused By Mold At Work
RALEIGH, N.C. - A North Carolina appeals court on Nov. 3 affirmed a commission's ruling that a man's illness was caused by exposure to mold at work and that he was entitled to benefits, but the court remanded the case for determination of whether his former employer was entitled to a lien against third-party settlement proceeds he already received (Steve R. Jones v. Steve Jones Auto Group, et al., No. COA08-1593, N.C. App.; 2009 N.C. App. LEXIS 1716). From Mealey's Litigation Report: Mold
