Forensic Accident Investigation: Motor Vehicles (2001-2004) and author of
Forensic Engineering Science: Crashes and Collapses published by Facts on File as part of its
Forensic Science Series (2005). He is also founder of Bohan, Mathers & Associates, the leading intellectual property law firm in Maine, and a certified diplomat to the International Institute of Forensic Engineering Sciences.
Prior to joining MTC Forensics in 1982, Bohan worked as a forensic consultant, physics professor at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, research physicist at Fansteel Metallurgical Corporation in North Chicago, Ill. (1960-1962) and a member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (1957-1960).
He is listed in American Men & Women of Science, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in American Law, and in Who's Who in America. He is also the recipient of the Founders Award of the Engineer Sciences Section of the AAFS in recognition of his outstanding services to forensic engineering sciences (2003). His other honors include numerous appointments with AAFS, including being named workshop chair for its 2005 annual meeting and representative to the Advisory Committee of the National Forensic Science Center (2003).
Bohan is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of the United States (1996), Federal Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit (1995), Federal Court of Appeals for the First Circuit (1992), Federal District Court, District of Massachusetts (1991), Federal District Court, District of Maine (1980), Maine State Bar (1980), Massachusetts State Bar (1980) and U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (1980).
