Alabama Workers' Compensation Law and Handbook published by Lexis Law Publishing (1999, 2004) and an editorial board member of the
Alabama Trial Lawyers Journal. Ford is also a certified mediator (1992-present), previous adjunct professor of Workers' Compensation Law at the University of Alabama School of Law (1997-2004), and co-founder and past chairperson of the Alabama State Bar Workers' Compensation Law Section.
Ford's honors include being listed in The Best Lawyers in America for workers'
compensation law (1995-present), receiving the Alabama State Bar Award of Merit (1991-1992) and earning the Alabama State Bar Award of Achievement for initiating a drug awareness program during his tenure as president of the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association.
