As an Associate Professor at The University of Montana School of Law, Gagliardi teaches courses in estate planning, business organizations, business transactions, and nonprofit organizations. She also serves as the faculty supervisor to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Law School Clinic.
Prior to teaching estate and business planning, Gagliardi practiced with the law firm of Perkins Coie, Seattle, Wash.; and Day, Berry & Howard, Hartford, Conn. She clerked for the Honorable William J. Jameson, Senior Judge, United States District Court for Montana; and the Honorable James R. Browning, then Chief Judge, 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
