Fisher v. Yankee Doodle Corporation

This is a negligence action involving a slip-and-fall injury at a fast-food restaurant. Problems simulate realistic courtroom situations. The case file contains depositions, doctors' reports, medical records, and other materials for use in a full trial exercise. There are three witnesses for both the plaintiff and the defendant.

    • With partner William S. Bailey, C. Steven Fury co-founded the law firm of Fury Bailey in 1991 and has worked to represent clients in personal injury cases ever since. He has dedicated much of his time to teaching continuing legal education, including seminars for attorneys and teaching trial advocacy at the University of Washington School of Law, as well as for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA). He has presented trial skills programs in Botswana, Kenya, Malawi and Uganda and taught administration skills to Cambodian refugees. Fury is on The American Trial Lawyers Association's list of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Washington as well as being named one of "The Best Lawyers in America" since 1995. He is also on Lawdragon's list of the 500 Leading Plaintiffs' Lawyers in the United States and has been named one of Washington State's Super Lawyers since 2003. After receiving his B.A. degree from Stanford University in 1974, his law degree (cum Laude) from Harvard Law School in 1979, Fury clerked for the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas before beginning his practice. He is a 2006 graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College.
