Richard Baer is chief administrative officer (CAO) at Qwest Communications. In addition to his role as the company’s CAO, Mr. Baer has served as Qwest’s general counsel since December 2002. Along with leading the company’s law department, Mr. Baer oversees risk management and compliance efforts, public policy, federal relations, human resources, labor relations, corporate communications, the Qwest Foundation and corporate social responsibility. Mr. Baer previously was chairman of the litigation department at the Denver law firm of Sherman & Howard. His experience includes corporate counseling, defending and prosecuting significant complex disputes, defending numerous class actions and defending companies in employment-related cases.

Chris Spizzirri is a member of the Corporate and Fiduciary Litigation Group at Morris James LLP, where he works with all of the firm’s practice groups supporting their Electronic Discovery (eDiscovery) efforts. As the first law firm eDiscovery Counsel & Coordinator in Delaware, Mr. Spizzirri coordinates the efforts of lawyers, vendors and clients in the discovery of electronically stored information (ESI) to ensure a defensible and cost-effective discovery process. Mr. Spizzirri has authored internal protocols outlining eDiscovery best practices and educates his colleagues to ensure eDiscovery expertise is spread firmwide.
