The organization supports a robust network of 370 affiliates, covering 80% of the US market, with eight international locations. Collectively, they mobilize millions of volunteers who partner with thousands of nonprofits, schools and community organizations every year. Points of Light & Hands On Network was founded on the belief that people everywhere have the ability to change the world through volunteering. In July 2006, Points of Light & Hands On Network and the Points of Light Foundation announced mutual board approval to merge their two organizations. The announcement transforms the landscape of the volunteer sector, creating a network of 370 affiliate organizations covering 80% of the US market.
Quaker is partnering with Kids Care Clubs and Points of Light & Hands On Network to power youth volunteerism across the country and provide parents with useful information on getting kids involved in their communities and more. A new website provides parents with the tools needed to get their children involved in and committed to youth volunteer efforts.
