The Mortgage Industry Data Exchange (MIDEX) is the only database that contains industry-contributed incidents of verified fraud and misrepresentations, public administrative actions from more than 200 sources and regulatory sourced professional license information. MIDEX solutions help to safeguard business relationships by:

  • Verifying licenses of individuals and companies;
  • Providing public and non-public adverse activities; and
  • Monitoring updates to search results and alerting users of changes.

Non-Public Incidents

Submitted by a wide range of companies, including national and regional lenders, mortgage insurers and secondary market agencies; MIDEX is the only repository of its kind that provides information on verified incidents of fraud and misrepresentation.

The contributory non-public portion of the MIDEX database includes alleged incidents of verified mortgage fraud and/or material misrepresentation submitted by subscribers. Credentialed subscribers share a common interest in reducing exposure to fraud and report transaction parties who engage in suspect activities in a real estate loan transaction to MIDEX. Incidents are contributed using a secure online system specifically designed to guide you in the process of safely sharing information by highlighting the required factual components needed for a legally-defensible submission. Each contributed incident is subject to a stringent quality control review and interview process by Mortgage Asset Research Institute staff to ensure subscriber comfort with their submission and adherence to all established policies and procedures.

Public Records

Access a comprehensive collection of administrative, disciplinary, enforcement and legal actions reported by more than 200 oversight entities including federal and state sources, plus data from the mortgage, real estate, appraisal, commercial banking and securities industries. Additional public filings, such as bankruptcies, corporate filings and associations are included in the MIDEX Comprehensive Report to provide in-depth visibility into potentially questionable activities that may increase exposure to business relationship risk.
