Alison R. Manzer, B.Sc., LL.B., LL.M., M.B.A., is a Partner in the Financial Services Group of Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP. She has an extensive commercial law practice, with a large cross-border and international practice base that includes financial institution regulation, asset based lending, securitization, project finance, and banking among others. Ms. Manzer has held several financial services industry directorships and many positions with the Canadian Bar Association. Ms. Manzer was elected to the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers in 2000,is President of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys (2015-2017), and chair of the ABA Project Finance Committee (2014-2017).

Carla Potter, B.Comm., J.D., is an associate in the Financial Services Group of Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP. She has experience in many aspects of commercial law, including representing both lenders and borrowers involved in domestic and cross-border lending transactions and corporate reorganizations. As a Chartered Professional Accountant/Chartered Accountant, Ms. Potter also has experience advising corporations of financial accounting standards and auditing various entities.

Howard Ruda, B.A., J.D., is Counsel to Hahn & Hessen LLP in New York City. He has over 30 years experience representing financial institutions engaged in accounts receivable financing, factoring, sales financing,equipment financing and equipment leasing. Mr. Ruda is the editor of the five volume treatise Asset Based Financing: A Transactional Guide, published by LexisNexis® Matthew Bender®. He has been a lecturer on secured lending at Continuing Legal Education programs (including the Practising Law Institute and American Bar Association). Mr. Rudais a member of the American Law Institute, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, and has chaired American Bar Association committees on equipment financing and bulk transfers.
