Jeffrey Graham & Andrew Loh


Jeffrey Graham, B.Comm., B.C.L./LL.B., LL.M., is a Partner practising in the Toronto Office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) and is the National Leader of the Life Sciences Focus Group. He provides regulatory and transactional advice to healthcare corporations and investors in financing and licensing transactions and in respect of regulatory compliance and corporate law matters. Jeff also provides strategic public policy advice to health sector participants, federally and provincially. He holds B.Comm. and B.C.L./LL.B. degrees from McGill University, and graduate degrees in international legal studies from Cambridge and Columbia universities. Jeff is a member of the bars of D.C. and Ontario.


Andrew Loh is a Partner in the Toronto Office of BLG practices primarily in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. He advises biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, natural health product, cosmetics, and bioinformatics companies as well as importers, distributors, clinical trial companies, research institutions and hospitals on the development, testing, marketing, distribution and sale of healthcare products and medical technologies, including related intellectual property and regulatory compliance matters. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and law degrees from Ontario and Michigan. He is a member of the bars of British Columbia and Ontario.

Jeffrey Graham, B.Comm., B.C.L./LL.B., LL.M., is a partner in the Toronto office of BLG. He is the Leader of the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Group and provides regulatory and transactional advice to healthcare corporations and investors in financing and licensing transactions and in respect of regulatory compliance and corporate law matters. Mr. Graham also provides strategic public policy advice to health sector participants, federally and provincially.

Christine Collard is a Partner in the Ottawa Office of BLG. Christine focuses mainly in the areas of patent, trade-mark, copyright and industrial design litigation, patent prosecution, opinions and licensing, with an emphasis on biotechnology, biochemistry and life sciences related technology. Christine graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a Bachelor of Laws. She is registered as a Trade-mark Agent and as a Canadian Patent Agent. Christine is a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Professional Group.

Andrew Loh is a Partner in the Vancouver Office of BLG and is the Regional Leader of the firm's Life Sciences Focus Group and its Health Care Institutions and Services practice group. He advises biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and bioinformatics companies as well as manufacturers, importers, distributors, clinical trial companies, research institutions and hospitals on commercialization of medical technology and health regulatory compliance matters. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and law degrees from Ontario and Michigan. He is a member of the bar of British Columbia.

Chantal Saunders is a Partner in the Ottawa Office of BLG. Chantal specializes in the area of intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent litigation and particularly pharmaceutical litigation under the NOC Regulations. Her practice also involves copyright and trade-mark infringement litigation and access to information matters. Chantal also advises clients with respect to data protection and issues arising in respect of the Patent Register and the Patented Medicines Prices Review Board. She obtained a B.Sc. from Queen's University and an L.L.B. from Dalhousie University. Chantal is also a registered patent agent.

Sheila Acharya Van Horne is a lawyer practising in the Calgary office of BLG and is a member of the Health Law (non-litigious) Practice Group. She provides commercial and clinical legal advice to various public and private institutions as well as healthcare corporations and pharmaceutical companies. Sheila was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2005 after obtaining her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Calgary. Prior to that, Sheila obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours), with Distinction, in Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge and attended the University of Melbourne in Australia as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar in a Master of Public Health Program.
