    Kirk A. Pasich


    Kirk A. Pasich is the leader of Dickstein Shapiro's Insurance Coverage Practice and serves on the firm's Executive Committee. According to Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, "All-star lawyer" Mr. Pasich "is an unmistakable feature of California's insurance landscape" and one of the nation's top 12 policyholder lawyers, while Lawdragon has said, "When it comes to representing policyholders, there's no bigger name on the West Coast." Chambers USA also says: "Kirk Pasich is the leading name at this national practice, whose skill at ‘always putting the right people on a matter’ ensures that it remains a go-to firm for complex insurance matters." Mr. Pasich conducts an active trial and appellate practice and has negotiated large insurance recoveries for his clients. He has helped clients obtain more than $2 billion in insurance recoveries since January 1, 2007. He represents motion picture studios, television networks, production companies, actors, musicians, and athletes and sports entities in a wide range of insurance coverage matters. He also has served as an arbitrator and as an expert witness on insurance and ethical issues. He has been named by The Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the Top 10 Litigators in Los Angeles.

    Cassandra Franklin


    Cassandra Franklin, a partner in Dickstein Shapiro's Insurance Coverage Practice, serves as Deputy Practice Leader and co-leader of the firm's Entertainment and Sports Insurance Coverage Initiative. Ms. Franklin represents policyholders in all phases of coverage disputes, from pre-litigation negotiations to litigation at both the trial court and appellate level. Her insurance recovery experience includes disputes concerning media liability and other entertainment industry policies, as well as directors and officers, commercial general liability, errors and omissions, and property and business interruption policies. She has also represented clients in commercial and entertainment litigation, including matters involving claims for copyright infringement, right of publicity, and other entertainment and art law issues. Ms. Franklin represents music companies, motion picture studios and television networks, as well as producers and musicians. She has been a speaker at presentations regarding special issues that arise in connection with insurance coverage in the entertainment industry.

    Sandra Smith Thayer


    Sandra Smith Thayer is a partner in Dickstein Shapiro's Insurance Coverage Practice. She also is the national co-leader of the Firm's Insurance Coverage Initiatives and chairs its Insurance Broker E&O and Political Risk Insurance Initiatives and is a member of the Entertainment and Sports Insurance Coverage Initiative. She conducts an active trial and arbitration practice, representing policyholders in complex insurance coverage matters and in disputes and litigation with insurance brokers. In addition to representing policyholders in obtaining coverage for a wide range of general liability and errors and omissions claims, Ms. Thayer represents motion picture studios and others in the entertainment industry in coverage matters, including business interruption losses, cast insurance claims, and intellectual property/multimedia claims. Indeed, she second-chaired an arbitration in which one motion picture studio recovered more than $50 million.

    Shaun H. Crosner


    Shaun H. Crosner is an associate in Dickstein Shapiro's Insurance Coverage Practice, and he is the co-leader of the firm's Entertainment and Sports Insurance Coverage Initiative. Mr. Crosner has represented policyholders in the entertainment and sports industries in a variety of complex insurance coverage matters, and he has also written and spoken on a number of topics relating to entertainment and sports insurance. His insurance recovery and litigation experience includes both first-party and third-party disputes involving property damage, rescission claims, insurance broker-agent liability, commercial general liability policies, employment practices liability policies, media liability coverage, and directors and officers coverage. Mr. Crosner also represents commercial clients in connection with general business litigation and contract disputes.

    Julia K. Holt


    Julia K. Holt was formerly an associate in Dickstein Shapiro's Insurance Coverage Practice. Ms. Holt represented insureds and reinsureds, including Fortune 500 companies and individual talent in the entertainment and sports industries, in complex insurance coverage and other disputes. Her insurance recovery and litigation experience includes both first-party and third-party insurance disputes involving property damage, business interruption, bodily injury, commercial general liability policies, reinsurance policies, directors and officers liabilities, professional malpractice, and insurance broker-agent liability.
