    Shean, Owen J.


    Owen Shean is a partner in the firm Wickwire Gavin, P.C. in Vienna, Virginia, focusing his practice on commercial litigation and arbitration with emphasis on construction related matters and creditors' rights. A Mediator for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division and the Supreme Court of Virginia Panel of Mediators, Mr. Shean received a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia. He lectures and writes frequently on construction law, and is a member of the National Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association, the American and Virginia Bar Associations, the Construction Specifications Institute, and the Project Management Institute.

    Patin, Douglas L.


    Douglas Patin received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, and his J.D. from the National Law Center at the George Washington University. A former partner with the law firm Kilcullen, Wilson & Kilcullen, Mr. Patin joined the firm of Spriggs & Hollinsworth in Washington, D.C. as a partner in May, 1994. Mr. Patin devotes his practice primarily to representing general contractors and subcontractors in construction matters generally, including litigation in state and federal courts, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the various federal boards of contract appeals, U.S. General Accounting Office, and in arbitration. Mr. Patin is a co-author of numerous articles on construction insurance and is a member of the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland Bars.
