    Mandelker, Daniel R.


    Daniel R. Mandelker, AICP, is Howard A. Stamper Professor of Law at Washington University, St. Louis and the author of numerous books on land use and environmental law. Professor Mandelker is a consultant to the American Planning Association's Growing Smart project, which is preparing new model planning and zoning legislation to replace the Standard Planning and Zoning Acts. He was a member of the Association's Property Rights Task Force, which prepared a working paper on the takings issue, and was coauthor of the Association's amicus brief for the Supreme Court in Suitum v. Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. He also testified on behalf of H.R. 1534, the land use ripeness bill, before a subcommittee of the House Committee on Judiciary, and his testimony was also presented to the Senate Committee on Judiciary.
