    Koch, C. John


    C. John Koch is a partner in Jenner & Block LLP's Chicago office and is Co-Chair of the Firm's Securities Litigation Practice. Mr. Koch also concentrates his practice in class action litigation and appellate matters. Mr. Koch has substantial experience defending class action securities litigation for a variety of public companies and their officers and directors. His experience spans numerous forms of securities and related litigation, including securities fraud and misrepresentation claims, shareholder derivative actions, and merger and control contest litigation. He is the former Co-Chair of the Securities Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. Mr. Koch graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis in 1978, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in his junior year. He obtained his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 1981, at which time he joined the Firm. He has served as the law clerk for Judge David M. Ebel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

    Solovy, Jerold S.


    Jerold S. Solovy is chairman emeritus of the Chicago law firm Jenner & Block LLP. Mr. Solovy's areas of practice include civil and appellate litigation, securities litigation, control contests law, complex litigation, and class actions. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A. with high honors and distinction, 1952) and Harvard Law School (LL.B., cum laude, 1955). At Harvard, Mr. Solovy was a member of the Board of Editors of the Harvard Law Review (1953-1955). Mr. Solovy co-authors a regular column on litigation practice and procedure for The National Law Journal. He serves as a Trustee of the U.S. Supreme Court Historical Society. In 2005, his 50th year as a practicing attorney, the American Bar Association honored Mr. Solovy with its coveted John Minor Wisdom Public Service and Professionalism award for his lifelong commitment and contributions to the quality of justice in the community.

    Chorvat, Timothy J.


    Timothy J. Chorvat is a partner in Jenner & Block LLP's Chicago office. He concentrates his practice in the areas of civil and commercial litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Chorvat is the Chairman of the Working Group on Electronic Evidence of the American Bar Association's Cyberspace Law Committee. He is an author of the chapters on Class Actions and Derivative Actions in Moore's Federal Practice. Mr. Chorvat graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 1986, where he served on the Michigan Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University in 1983, where he was chosen to be a member of Phi Beta Kappa. From 1988 to 1989, Mr. Chorvat was an Assistant Professor of Law at the IIT Chicago Kent College of Law. Mr. Chorvat joined Jenner & Block in 1986.

    Connell, Deirdre E.


    Deirdre E. Connell is a partner in Jenner & Block LLP's Chicago office. Ms. Connell's areas of practice include securities litigation, class action and derivative shareholder litigation, internal investigations, and complex business litigation. Ms. Connell is a graduate of the University of Iowa Law School (J.D. 1990, with high distinction) and Cornell College (B.A. 1987, magna cum laude).

    Suskin, Howard S.


    Howard S. Suskin is a partner in Jenner & Block LLP's Chicago office and is a member of the firm's Litigation Department. He is chair of the firm's Class Action Litigation Practice and co-chair of the firm's Securities Litigation Practice. He has substantial first-chair experience representing individuals and business entities in civil and criminal securities matters, including securities fraud and misrepresentation claims, derivative actions claiming breach of fiduciary duty, contests for corporate control, insider trading investigations, broker-dealer issues, and arbitrations. He serves as arbitrator and mediator for the National Association of Securities Dealers and as arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, Chicago Board Options Exchange, Circuit Court of Cook County, National Futures Association, and the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Suskin is an active member of the ABA Securities Law Committee, including serving as co-chair of the Class and Derivative Actions Subcommittee. He has served as chairman of the Chicago Bar Association's Bench & Bar Committee, Class Action Committee, Financial and Investment Services Committee, and Securities Law Committee. He is a frequent author and speaker on issues relating to class actions and securities law and serves as a faculty member of the Practising Law Institute. Mr. Suskin graduated from Northwestern University with distinction, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and obtained his J.D. degree with honors from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a member of the Michigan Law Review.

    Marmer, Ronald L.


    Ronald L. Marmer is a partner in Jenner & Block LLP's Chicago and New York offices. He is Co-chair of the Firm's Securities Litigation Practice Group and is a member of the Firm's Management Committee. Mr. Marmer represents corporations and financial institutions in high-stakes litigation, arbitrations, and SEC administrative proceedings. His practice also includes internal investigations. In addition to serving as defense counsel, Mr. Marmer also has prosecuted substantial claims on behalf of major corporations. He is an active member of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association, where he has served as Chair of the Securities Litigation Committee, Chair of the Professional Liability Litigation Committee, and in other leadership positions. Mr. Marmer also is a member of the American Law Institute. His publications include the chapter on Class Actions in Moore's Federal Practice. Mr. Marmer is a 1977 graduate of the University of Virginia Law School, where he was a member of the Virginia Law Review and Order of the Coif. In 1974, he received his Bachelor of Science (with Highest Distinction) and Master of Arts degrees from Northwestern University.
