    Bacon, David L.


    David Bacon is a partner in Nixon Peabody LLP's Labor & Employment practice group. His practice focuses on ERISA and employee benefits, the federal health care reform legislation (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or PPACA) enacted in 2010, multiemployer pension plan withdrawal liability, class action defense, labor and employment law, and federal securities law. He has significant experience in ERISA fiduciary liability cases, class action defense, tax shelter litigation, securities litigation, wrongful termination and EEO. Mr. Bacon has represented clients in civil litigation, insurance defense, unfair competition, trademark and copyright law, and products liability defense and specializes in trial and appellate practice, including Supreme Court practice. Mr. Bacon is the lead author in the following publications: David L. Bacon, Stephen D. Prater, et al., Employee Benefits Guide, two-volume book (Matthew Bender & Co./LexisNexis) New York, 2002; David L. Bacon and David W. Tucker, Pension and Benefits, Volume 6 of Labor and Employment Law, eleven volume series (Matthew Bender & Co./LexisNexis), New York, 2003; and David L.
