    David Paul Horowitz , Esq. has litigated in New York courts for over 24 years as a plaintiff's personal injury attorney, and may be reached at david@newyorkpractice.org. He is "of counsel" to Ressler & Ressler in New York City and specializes in complex tort claims, including products liability, legal and medical malpractice, and construction litigation, as well as general negligence cases. He is a member of the Office of Court Administration's CPLR Advisory Committee and the Associate Reporter for the New York Pattern Jury Instructions (P.J.I.). Selected annually since 2007 for inclusion in the New York Super Lawyers listing, effective May 1, 2010 he is the sole author of the nine-volume set Bender's New York Evidence. He is also the author of the treatise New York Civil Disclosure, revised and reissued annually since 2004, together with the 2008 and 2012 Supplements to Fisch on New York Evidence. He pens the monthly column "Burden of Proof", on disclosure and evidence, for the New York State Bar Journal. He teaches New York Practice, Professional Responsibility and Electronic Evidence & Disclosure at Brooklyn Law School. In addition to programs in civil practice, evidence, disclosure, and settlements at the New York State Judicial Institute, he lectures statewide on these and other topics on behalf of numerous bar associations, and at law firms and legal departments. Mr. Horowitz received his B.A. from Lehman College, City University of New York and J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
