    Portnoy, Linda S.


    Linda S. Portnoy received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1975 and completed a master's degree in philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1977. She graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 1983 and was admitted to the Washington State Bar the same year. After law school, Linda Portnoy worked as a public defender from 1983 to 1989 for The Defender Association, in Seattle, Washington. She worked as a judge pro tem for the City of Seattle and the City of Kirkland from 1991 to 1998. In 1998, she was appointed the presiding judge for the City of Lake Forest Park Municipal Court. She currently holds this position. She has taught at the State Judicial College since 2001 and is active in many committees with the Washington State District and Municipal Court Judge's Association.
