    Fleischner, Robert D.


    Robert D. Fleischner is an attorney with the Center for the Public Representations, a public interest law firm with offices in Northampton and Boston. He is the director of the Center's Mental Health Protection and Advocacy Project, which provides legal assistance to individuals with mental illness in state mental hospitals in Massachusetts. His practice concentrates in the representation of people with mental and physical disabilities in a variety of judicial and administrative forums.

    Mr. Fleischner graduated from Boston College Law School in 1973. He has written numerous articles and is a frequent lecturer on civil commitment, guardianship and other mental and physical disability law topics.

    Elder, Jinanne S.J.


    Jinanne S.J. Elder is an attorney in private practice who currently serves as a consultant to the Committee for Public Counsel Services directing its Family Law Advocacy Project which provides training and supervision for attorneys assigned to represent parents and children in child custody cases in which the state is a party. Her practice focuses on family law matters with special emphasis on child custody.

    Ms. Elder graduated from Boston University School of Law in 1974. She has written numerous articles and treatises on family law and child custody and lectured extensively on evidence, privileges, ethics and a variety of topics as they relate to family law and child custody practice.

    Cross, John H.


    John H. Cross is First Assistant Register of the Norfolk Division of the Probate and Family Court. He is former counsel for the Department of Mental Health in western Massachusetts and has also served as Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Court's Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee.

    Mr. Cross graduated from Boston University School of Law in 1974 and has written a number of articles on guardianship and Probate Court practice and procedure. He is also a frequent lecturer on probate and family law topics.
