    Kissiah, Richard C.


    Richard C. Kissiah is the Managing Partner of the law firm of Kissiah & Lay, where he practices almost exclusively in the field of workers' compensation law. The law firm is located in Alpharetta (a suburb of Atlanta). Mr. Kissiah is a member of the Atlanta and Georgia Bar Assocations. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute. He was the chairman of the Atlanta Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Section in 1993-1994 and is presently on the board of directors for the Atlanta Medical Association's Medical-Legal Committee. He has also been an author and lecturer on the subject of Georgia workers' compensation law for the Atlanta Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the State Board of Workers' Compensation, and numerous chambers of commerce and employer associations. He is an attorney-instructor for the Certified Workers' Compensation Professional (CWCP) program.

    Mr. Kissiah was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 15, 1952. He attended the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and in May 1975, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Johns Hopkins University of Baltimore, Maryland. He subsequently graduated with a degree of Juris Doctor from the Emory University School of Law in June 1978.
