    General Editor: Jonathan N. Eisenberg is General Counsel for UBS Wealth Management Americas. Before joining UBS, he spent 12 of the immediately preceding 13 years at Merrill Lynch, where he was General Counsel for Global Markets and Investment Banking Litigation and Co-Head of Global Litigation, Regulatory and Employment Law. In that role, he was an active participant in many of the seminal securities class actions decided during the last decade, including many that are discussed in this book. After leaving Merrill Lynch in 2009, he joined Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, during which time he completed editing this book. He is the author of approximately two dozen articles on securities issues, including "Beyond the Basics: Seventy-Five Defenses Securities Litigators Need to Know," published in the August 2007 issue of The Business Lawyer, and was the first recipient of the "Litigation - Individual of the Year Award" presented by International Law Office.com and the Association of Corporate Counsel. Jon is a member of the Board of Editors for Lexis-Nexis securities law publications, the former chair of the Corporation, Finance and Securities Law Section of the D.C. Bar, the former Chair of the Section Chairs of the D.C. Bar, and the former co-chair of the Civil Litigation and SEC Enforcement Subcommittee of the American Bar Association. He graduated from Cornell University in 1974 and the University Of Virginia School Of Law in 1977.
