    Dr. Rudolf Limpert


    Dr. Rudolf Limpert has had a long and successful career as a consulting engineer on motor vehicle and traffic safety. He has authored six prior editions of Motor Vehicle Accident Reconstruction and Cause Analysis, and four other books on automotive safety. He continues to publish and teach motor vehicle accident reconstruction and design of brake systems. Dr. Limpert received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, his M.S. and B.E.S. from Brigham Young University, and his B.S. from the Engineering School of Wolfenbuettel. He worked as brake design engineer in Germany, safety standards engineer for NHTSA, and mechanical engineering professor at the University of Utah prior to starting his own consulting business.
