She has over 10 years of experience in the power industry and previously served as Development Manager for a utility-scale wind power developer. She has been recognized by Chambers USA in multiple years and has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law.

    Ernest E. Smith


    Former Dean of the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, Professor Smith is currently the Rex G. Baker Centennial Chair in Natural Resources Law at the school. A specialist in oil and gas law, he has been recognized for his teaching as well as for his leadership in the energy field. The Annual Institute of Oil, Gas and Mineral Law, which was co-sponsored by the Texas State Bar Section on Oil, Gas and Energy Law and the University of Texas School of Law, was renamed the Ernest E. Smith Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Institute.

    Steve K. DeWolf


    Principal of Wind Tex Energy, a commercial wind farm investment and development company, DeWolf has helped lead the development of four projects that comprise nearly 10% of current wind energy in Texas. His law firm, Bellinger & DeWolf, L.L.P., represents plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of disputes in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations.

    Partner in the Texas firm of Wetsel & Carmichael, L.L.P., Mr. Wetsel is Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been an assistant editor of the Texas Title Standards Joint Editorial Board for 20 years. A former member of the Texas Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Council, he has written numerous articles on oil and gas law and wind energy and frequently speaks on wind energy issues throughout the United States.
