    Congress defines military sexual crimes in Article 120 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). 10 U.S.C.S. § 920 et.seq. Effective on June 28, 2012, the newest version of military sexual crimes more successfully shifts the focus to the offender, but is not without its problems. This EIA explores the changes effected by the new, new Article 120.

    US Army Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School

     

    Attorney Clark is a Professor of Criminal Law at The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, the US Army's ABA-accredited legal center in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is the subject matter expert in sexual assault crimes, victim programs, and soldier education concerning sexual assault and harassment. He is the first full-time civilian professor in the 50-year history of the school.

     

    Mr. Clark was a prosecutor in Connecticut from 1983 to 2010, most of the time in the Career Criminal felony crimes division of the New Haven State's Attorney's Office. During his career he prosecuted dozens of sexual assault cases and thirty-five murder cases to jury verdict.

     

    Mr. Clark is an active triathlete. He has written for Full Court Press: the Women's Basketball Journal since 1997.
