    In the limited circumstances in which a commercial alcohol provider can be liable for injuries caused by a customer's intoxication, the Colorado Supreme Court in Build It And They Will Drink, Inc. v. Strauch held that a plaintiff is excused from satisfying the common law proximate cause requirement ordinarily imposed in tort actions.
