    Robert E. Scott


    Robert E. Scott is the Alfred McCormack Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Contract and Economic Organization at Columbia University. He is a graduate of Oberlin College, the College of William & Mary, and the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the Columbia law faculty in 2006, he taught for many years at the University of Virginia, where he served as dean from 1991 ? 2001. Scott has written extensively about contract and commercial law with a particular focus on the economic analysis of commercial law and the relationship between formal and informal mechanisms for enforcing contractual commitments.

    George G. Triantis


    George G. Triantis is the Eli Goldston Professor of Law at Harvard University. He was formerly the Seymour Logan Professor of Law at the University of Chicago and the Perre Bowen Professor of Law at the University of Virginia, where he also served as the Director of the John M. Olin Program in Law and Economics. Triantis? scholarly contributions lie in the fields of contract law, commercial law, and bankruptcy; an ongoing project concerns the design of commercial contracts.
