    As the United States continues to debate the climate change issue, attention is being focused on the burning of fossil-fuels for power generation, manufacturing, and transportation as a primary source of greenhouse gases.     David M. Flannery, Kathy G. Beckett, Bradley M. Marten


    David M. Flannery is a Member of Jackson Kelly PLLC and is the manager of the Firm?s Environmental Law Department. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Firm's ancillary business subsidiary, Jackson Kelly Solutions LLC. His practice is focused upon the representation of companies and trade organizations in a variety of matters including climate change, energy and environmental regulatory issues, facility siting and the litigation of environmental enforcement and environmental tort cases at both the state and federal level. His practice has involved extensive participation in appeals of regulatory decisions of the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

    Kathy G. Beckett has been practicing in the area of environmental law since graduating from West Virginia University College of Law in 1988. Ms. Beckett's practice has always focused upon the representation of members of the business community on environmental and climate change matters. She has experience in state and federal regulatory advocacy in each of the primary environmental programs. Ms. Beckett has been intimately involved in both statutory and regulatory program developments on both a state and federal level. She has participated in the drafting of numerous regulatory and statutory environmental provisions. Ms. Beckett has experience in federal appellate litigation with an emphasis upon review of federal agency rulemakings.

    Bradley M. Marten, founder and Managing Partner of Marten Law PLLC, is consistently ranked by his peers as one of the nation's top environmental lawyers. He is a Regent of the American College of Environmental Lawyers and Chairs its Policy Committee. He is listed as a top environmental lawyer in the best Lawyers in America, Chambers, and the International Who's Who of Environment Lawyers, and been recognized in many other publications for his work in the environmental law field over a 25 year career. Brad represents both corporate and public clients in matters touching on most of the major environmental and energy practice areas. He is the General Editor for the LexisNexis Global Climate Change Special Pamphlet Series.
