    Michael J. Dale


    Michael J. Dale is a Professor of Law at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he teaches Family Law, Juvenile Law and assists in the Family & Juvenile Clinic. Prior to joining the Nova faculty, Professor Dale was the Executive Director of the Youth Law Center in San Francisco after serving as attorney in charge of the Special Litigation Unit of the New York City Legal Aid Society Juvenile Rights Division.
    He has been a practicing lawyer specializing in civil rights litigation for 30 years. A member of the Arizona, Florida, New Mexico and New York Bars, Professor Dale has also been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, five of the Circuit Courts of Appeal, and seven United States District Courts.
    Professor Dale also teaches at various National Institute for Trial Advocacy Programs related to children (Denver, Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and New York at Hofstra University) and is the Program Director for the Florida National Institute for Trial Advocacy Deposition Program. Professor Dale has been a consultant to the National Institute of Corrections and a number of state and local government agencies. He has over 70 published articles on children's and juvenile law topics.
