Larson, Lex K.
Lex K. Larson is the President of Employment Law Research, Inc., a
Durham, North Carolina organization that specializes in the study of
workers' compensation, employment discrimination, and other facets of
employment law. A graduate of Haverford College and Harvard Law School,
Mr. Larson practiced law for fifteen years in Washington, D.C., and has
taught employment law at Duke University School of Law. He is the author
of the following five treatises published by Matthew Bender: Workers'
Compensation (10 vols.), Workers' Compensation-Desk Edition (2 vols.),
Employment Discrimination (7 vols.), Unjust Dismissal (2 vols.), and
Employment Screening (1 vol.). He is a member of the North Carolina and
District of Columbia Bars and the American and North Carolina Bar
Associations. He is a member of the North Carolina Industrial Commission
Advisory Committee, he has testified before other legislative and
regulatory bodies, and has lectured in CLE courses. He is certified as a
Superior Court mediator in North Carolina, and handles Industrial
Commission mediations as well. He is a member of the Board of Directors
of the Dispute Settlement Center of Durham, and he volunteers as a
community mediator, and has published on the subject of dispute
resolution.
