    Herzog, Peter


    Peter Herzog completed his education at the University of Vienna in 1950, received his BA at Hobart College, Geneva, N.Y. in 1952, his JD at Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y. in 1955, and his LLM at Columbia University in 1956. He was Deputy Assistant Attorney General, then Assistant Attorney General with the New York State Department of Law (1956 to 1958) and Assistant Professor, then Associate Professor, Professor and, finally, Crandall Melvin Professor of Law at Syracuse University College of Law (1958 to 1994). He has been a Crandall Melvin Professor of Law, Emeritus since 1995. Professor Herzog has also served as a visiting professor at the University Paris I (1976/1977), at the University of Dijon (Spring 1987), at the University of Fribourg (Fall 1987) and the College of Europe, Bruges (Belgium) (Spring 1989). He is the author of several books and numerous articles in American and foreign periodicals on torts, conflict of laws, comparative civil procedure and European Community law.

    Christian Campbell


    Christian Campbell is the assistant director of the Center for International Legal Studies in Salzburg, Austria, has been an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts since 2002, and is the editor of numerous publications on transnational and comparative law and the author of comparative law essays. Mr. Campbell received his legal education at Edinburgh School of Law (LLB, 1987) and McGeorge School of Law (LLM, 1988), was admitted to the New York Bar in 1992 and was a research assistant at the University of Salzburg, Department of Public International Law, International Economic Law and Organisation between 1993 and 1997.

    Gudrun Zagel


    Gudrun Zagel is Assistant Professor at the Department of International Law at the University of Salzburg. She received her legal education from the University of Salzburg Law School as well as from the University of Texas School of Law at Austin, where she was a Fulbright Scholar. In 1998, she worked as consultant at the Office of the Legal Advisor of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Zagel is a member of the Austrian delegation at the Ad hoc Committee for the Negotiation of a UN Convention against corruption. She is the author of a treatise and numerous articles on international economic law and has taught for several years at the University of Salzburg School of Law, at the McGeorge Institute on International Legal Studies and at the American Institute for Foreign Study in Salzburg.
