    Barry Kamins, Esq.

    Barry Kamins, a partner at Flamhaft Levy Kamins Hirsch & Rendeiro LLP in New York City, litigates a spectrum of criminal matters. Mr. Kamins was formerly assistant district attorney in Kings County and the deputy chief of the criminal court bureau; he was appointed special prosecutor, Kings County from 1990-1992. Currently, Mr. Kamins serves as Vice President of New York State Bar Association; Chair of the Executive Committee, New York City Bar; Co-Chair of the Advisory Committee on Criminal Law and procedure to the Chief Administrative Judge of New York; and Chair of the Judiciary Committee of the Brooklyn Bar Association, among his memberships in many different organizations. Mr. Kamins is also an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School and Brooklyn Law School and he frequently lectures on criminal law matters for many of the New York bar associations. He is also the author of articles analyzing different areas of New York Criminal Practice and is the author of several books, most notably New York Search and Seizure from LexisNexis, that is frequently cited by various New York courts.
