Knee, Peggy Sheahan
Peggy Sheahan Knee is a member of the Knee Law Firm, Hackensack, focusing on estate planning, elder law, and probate and estate administration. She is a graduate of Fordham College, Fordham University School of Law, and New York University School of Law (LL.M., Taxation). Ms. Knee is certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, an organization accredited by the American Bar Association. She is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and a member of the American Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association, and currently serves as President of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is a member and Past Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association¿s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section. Ms. Knee writes and lectures frequently on estate administration and estate planning topics. She served as Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association¿s subcommittee that drafted proposed revisions to New Jersey Probate Code, which were enacted in 2004 and effective 2005. She is co-author of the LexisNexis New Jersey Practice Guide on Elder Law.
Ershow-Levenberg, Linda S.
Linda S. Ershow-Levenberg is a partner (member) with the firm Fink Rosner Ershow-Levenberg in Clark, NJ, where her practice concentrates in Elder Law, including planning, litigation and administration. Linda was certified in Elder Law by the National Elder Law Foundation, the accrediting body which is recognized by the New Jersey Supreme Court and the American Bar Association, in 1999 and recertified in 2004. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the NJ Bar Association, and the Union County Bar Association. She is the Vice-Chairman of the New Jersey State Bar Association¿s Elder & Disability Law Section. She is the past Chairman of the Union County Bar Association¿s Elder Law Committee.
Linda argued before the NJ Supreme Court on behalf of amicus curiae N.J. Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys in In re Keri, the seminal case on Medicaid planning by Guardians, for which she received an Appreciation Award from the Guardianship Association of New Jersey (GANJI). She has published articles on elder and disability law in the Marquette Elder¿s Advisor , NAELA News, NJ Lawyer Newspaper, and other professional publications for attorneys, and lectures on elder law issues to professional and community groups.
Linda received her B.A. magna cum laud from Douglass College (at Rutgers University) where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and her J.D. from Rutgers Law School-Newark. She was admitted to the Bar in 1984, clerked for the late Honorable Lawrence Lasser, Chief Judge of the New Jersey Tax Court, and has been in practice in New Jersey since 1985. She resides in Elizabeth, New Jersey with her husband David and their 4 children.
