    Horn, Judge Carl


    Former U.S. Magistrate Carl Horn, Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, has written and lectured widely on Fourth Circuit criminal and civil law and procedure. In addition to revising his Fourth Circuit Criminal Handbook annually, Horn is the author of Michie's Fourth Circuit Criminal Reporter and Horn's Federal Jury Instructions for the Fourth Circuit: Criminal Edition. Horn received his B.A. with honors from the University of Virginia in 1973, and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina Law Center in 1976.
