About the Trainers

Barton
F. Stichman, Esq. helped found NVLSP in 1980, and currently serves as
its co-director and lead litigator. Bart has devoted his entire legal
professional career to assisting veterans and their families obtain benefits,
and has earned over $100 million in VA benefits for his clients over the past
30 years. Bart is co-author and editor of the Veterans Benefits Manual.
He has served as President of the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Bar
Association and as Chair or Co-Chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee of the
Administrative Law Section of the American Bar Association.
Ronald B. Abrams, Esq. has been with NVLSP since 1989 and currently
serves as its Joint Executive Director. Ron began his career at the
Philadelphia regional office of the VA, and helped to draft the VA Adjudication
Procedures Manual M21-1. He has conducted 200+ training sessions for
many national service organizations, as well as for many state bar
associations, Legal Services Corporation-funded offices, the National Legal Aid
and Defender Association, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and
the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Ron is editor
and co-author of the Veterans Benefits Manual.
