Sanctuary 101 (Parts I-III) - Jane Chong, Lawfare

Jane Chong, Deputy Managing Editor of Lawfare and National Security and Law Associate at the Hoover Institution, has posted a four-part series on President Trump's January 25, 2017 executive order, “Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States,” and specifically what qualifies as a “sanctuary jurisdiction,” about the order’s effects on those jurisdictions, and about whether Trump’s effort to pull their federal funding by unilateral executive action is constitutional.  She served as a law clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and is a graduate of Yale Law School and Duke University.
