No New B Visas at Caracas (May 18, 2016)

Official U.S. Embassy Website - "IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION FOR ALL NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS IN VENEZUELA - As of May 18, 2016, the U.S. Embassy in Caracas is no longer able to provide new appointments for first-time business or tourist (B-1/B-2) visa applicants. ... We regret this significant reduction in services, which is made necessary by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry’s refusal to issue visas to U.S. diplomatic personnel.  At this time, we do not have adequate embassy staff to maintain our previous level of service, but hope it will be possible to return to that level of service in the future."
