"Early one morning in November, three immigration officers showed up at the Escondido home of Amado Sanchez Sr., and within minutes, the officers took his son-in-law, who is the father of his three grandchildren, leaving the family in chaos and in tears. The father of the three children, Gerardo Rodriguez Corrales, 42, was not the intended target that morning. But during their visit to the home, the officers discovered that Rodriguez was illegally in the country and took him. "He wasn't a criminal, he was a good father," Sanchez said." - North County Times, Dec. 28, 2011.
